One day I want to prove is it true what we think could be a reality. It is one simple thing that could change my perception about a PROCESS.

goals

My goal

I want to have a snack, which comes to mind is a pineapple biscuits. :) I know the exact shape of this snack, I know exactly where it is sold, I remember in which shelves they put that biscuits, I’m so curious I even plan in my mind where should I park my motorcycle.

Now I had a concrete detailed process of my journey to get this favorite snack. I had my goal, a perfect plan, and I drove my motorcycle go to that supermarket. I got the parking position that I planned. Then what happened? The biscuit isn’t there! Okay, I’m not felling despair yet, I can find it in another supermarket. Because I know where else they sell it, and there I have it!

But this is already beyond my initial plan, right? Remember, what doesn’t change is the initial goal to have the biscuit!

We’ve all experienced moment like this. We set our goals and the plan is fixed and formed. But often the process deviated from its original plan. Many of us still continue to try to stay on track with our initial plan. When failure occurred we try again and again with the same way or even broke down and stopped.

Realize that we’ll never get a perfect process that really goes according to what we imagine. But be flexible in terms of the process of achieving something we want. Do not change the goal, but changing the way on how to achieve that goal.

Happy snacking!
